Brilliant framing of the Netscape moment as a signal flare rather than just antitrust theater. The shift from treating foundational tech as utilitarian infrastrucutre to treating it as extractable rent is spot-on. I remember when open protocols felt like the default and licensing felt like the exception, now its completely inverted. The comparision to healthcare access isnt just rhetoric either, when knowledge exists but access gets rationed by legal frameworks rather than scarcity, the system has failed its basic utility function.

The value is in action

The control is in knowledge

If we truly cared about one another, society, and things being better, we'd encourage more action but removing the controls.
